I provide services for Academics, Students, and Professionals. I am well-versed in ASA and APA citation-styles, and can also copy edit to the specifications of the Chicago Manual of Style. More specifically, I assist with:
Developmental Editing: Assisting with the construction of a thesis, its evidentiary particulars, and, depending on the nature of the paper, a conclusion.
Stylistic Editing: Providing an “evenness” in tone, voice, and pacing, while still conforming to the conventions of the author’s discipline.
Copy Editing: Correcting spelling, grammar, and citation errors.
Different projects call for differing levels of support from an editor. I am here to assist your project in any or all of the ways listed. Please contact me to tell me more about your work and how I can help.
Academics
Social Sciences and Humanities
Business and Management
Natural Sciences
I provide editing services for papers and articles within the social sciences and humanities, primarily (though not exclusively) from a qualitative standpoint. I consider some “business” or “management” articles to be social-scientific in nature, depending on focus and methodology. For papers that fall within the scope of the natural sciences, I can provide copy editing services only. I do not take mathematical or engineering-based projects.
Students
Admission Essays
Statements of Purpose
Application Writing Samples (usually applies to graduate students only)
Seminar Papers
Master’s Theses and Dissertations
I am available to provide the full-range of services listed above for qualitative dissertations in a social science discipline. For papers that fall within the scope of the natural sciences I am only able to provide copy editing services. I do not take mathematical or engineering-based projects (though I am certainly able to help with admissions essays for students interested in these disciplines).
Professionals
I support professionals by providing developmental, stylistic, and copy editing services for articles, primarily (though not exclusively) from a qualitative standpoint. My background is in the social sciences and I consider many “business” or “management” articles to be social-scientific in nature, depending on focus and methodology. Whether your content is for public consumption or for internal use only, I will ensure that the end product is as cogent, precise, and strong as possible.
